I honestly can’t recommend Azim enough! I was taking lessons last year, had a bad day, and failed my test, which made me completely lose my motivation and just give up on driving for a while. On top of that, trying to find a new test slot in Derby with the crazy DVSA backlogs was an absolute nightmare. It is so difficult to get a date on the system, and I couldn't secure anything until this July.
I was so stressed that taking a whole year off meant I'd have to start right back at square one. But Azim has been amazing. It literally felt like I'd never been away. He picked up right where we left off, completely rebuilt my confidence, and has been getting me test-ready all around Oakwood and the local test routes. If you’ve had a massive break from driving and are looking for driving instructor in Derby, Azim is the absolute best person to go with!

I PASSED!! Examiner felt super safe with my driving and was comfortable.

Lovely instructor. He gives clear instructions and is so patient with me. I love the fact he goes over everything step by step so I don’t feel overwhelmed. I feel that my confidence has definitely improved and he has definitely helped with that. All the lessons are 70-100% driving which are so good to build up your skills without spending the whole time just talking about how to do things, which wouldn’t be as useful and some instructors do do that. If you are looking for an instructor I definitely recommend Azim!!!

I had been driving for a while without an instructor before deciding to get lessons to see how many bad habits I had accumulated. There were quite a few, and Drivaz Driving School helped me get rid of all of them in a very smooth fashion, just a few weeks before my exam. In retrospect, it would have definitely been better to start my driving experience with the school to avoid building those habits, but the clear guidance, explanations, and patience helped me pass my test with only a single minor.

In addition, there was barely any time wasted. You often see instructors pulling their pupils over for half an hour at a time to explain something; here, the explanations were quick, easy to understand, and I felt that no money was wasted. I can safely recommend this school to anyone

Azim, has really been supportive all the way! Especially when with how nervous I can be! I highly recommend him, he is very patient and he will be honest about anything that goes wrong in your lesson! I don’t think I would have passed with out him.

Azim is the best driving instructor I could ask for, so patient, reassuring and helpful. After hearing so many horror stories about bad driving instructors I was really anxious to start, but today I passed & I couldn’t have done it without him. He’s never once raised his voice or used a harsh tone, he’s been patient and calm throughout the whole time I’ve been learning with him. He doesn’t just teach you to pass your test he teaches you how to actually drive ANYWHERE! And I’ve just been out for a solo drive in my car for the first time and I wasn’t even remotely nervous or worried thanks to him. I’m so grateful, highly recommend to anyone who’s feeling anxious about driving, the best instructor in derby !
